A friend suggested that when you start a blog
you shouldn’t tell anyone. It’s easier
to get a feel for your voice, she said,
without thinking about
what all your friends will think.
(She also said not starting is like suicide for creativity.)
I’m happy to say
after a month of secret blogging
my friend is very brainy.
And now here we are
on the eve of becoming non-secret
and I couldn’t be more excited…

your coming out in the open? haha my day is yet to come…
Lisa Fernyhough
Yep. All out in the open. And thanks for my first ever comment – up until now I think my only reader has been my sister, who usually just calls me and tells me what she thinks. Have a nice day!

Whoohooo Lisa!
You’ve gone from SECRET to SPECTACULAR!
Your BLOG is BRILLIANT!
Thanks for the inspiration!
Natasha
Not so secret when it’s your name Lisa 🙂 Really enjoying reading your poems and watching your vids. Half and half is weird. Why do we need half milk, half cream? To answer my own question, I think it’s so the coffee in America tastes less like dirt. Sorry Americans. How long are you planning on staying in CA Lisa?
Lisa Fernyhough
Hey Natasha, thanks so much for your comment! Yeah, using my name is a bit of a giveaway, but I’m over needing to keep it a secret – way over!!
I’m still in love with the half and half and use it all the time in my tea. Just that extra bit creamier. I”m not much of a coffee connoisseur and can only tell if it’s really really bad or really really good, otherwise it’s just coffee to me, but maybe things are changing since you were here?? I had the best cup of my life the other day at a place called Cora’s on Ocean in Santa Monica. (My other dairy love is the way they divide the butter into sticks. How handy is that?!)
I”ll be here for another 6 or 7 weeks – really enjoying it – can you tell?!
Thanks again, Natasha!

Hey are using WordPress for your blog platform? I’m new to the blog world but I’m trying to get started and set up my own. Do you require any coding knowledge to make your own blog? Any help would be really appreciated! acfffcdfdefd

Hi John, yes this is a WordPress site. I started with a wordpress.com site (free and easier to use, but you have less opportunities to tailor things) and then changed to wordpress.org. If you can, I’d start with the .org version. Both are pretty simple though. Just takes some time. You will need to pick up a little coding knowledge on the way, but I wouldn’t worry about that. Dive in!! (I use Metro theme, and Genesis framework and host with WP engine) I can’t recommend WordPress enough. Hope that helps!
