Hello spring!
My daughter is extremely excited about the arrival of lady spring.
Lady Spring’s appearance means she doesn’t have to wear shoes at school and they can play with water.
And they’re going to plant seeds today.
Last night on our walk through town, she wore a white flowy dress, a silky red scarf wrapped like a cape, and a crown.
This is what Lady Spring looks like, apparently.
One of the great things about kids is they literally stop and smell the flowers.
She also stops to pick up trash she thinks she might use in some project or other.
An old rusty nail.
A tree branch.
And so many rocks!
One day she stuffed her pockets full of glass shards when we weren’t looking.
In the spirit of stopping to smell the flowers,
Here is a 6 minute instruction video on how to do do-nothing meditation.
The simple practice of just stopping is one of the most powerful things you can do to balance the stresses of today’s world.
Stopping and doing nothing, is like watering your inner seed.
It helps us grow.
It helps us be here, now.
It helps us process life.
In the video I talk about doing it for 10 or 15 minutes, but if this feels like too long, try 2 minutes!
Love to hear your thoughts and questions you have. Write them in the comments below.
What does spring mean to you? What is happening where you live?
