With a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition and a lifelong interest in health and wellness, I am passionate about guiding people toward healthier lives in a way that’s gentle, fun, and that doesn’t feel like something else you have to get done.
When I’m not writing about the mind and teaching do-nothing meditation, I write for Forks Over Knives, a leader in whole-food, plant-based nutrition (aka healthy vegan food). I have developed vegan recipes for a celebrity chef and love tinkering around in the kitchen.
I have been gluten-free for 20+ years, and over the past decade, I have made the transition to eating a primarily plant-based diet and experienced firsthand how this simple way of eating can reverse chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, inflammation, chronic joint pain, and heartburn.
I am a master soup maker and my newest favorite recipe is Buckwheat Bread – (Just 1 Ingredient!). Our family is nuts about the Ninja Creami ice cream maker. Earlier this year I reviewed different ice cream makers and was so smitten with the Ninja that it kind of changed our life. We eat ice cream more days than we don’t and it’s so healthy it doesn’t matter!
